Hunter (HP) had always wanted bees. Our story began in 2020. We thought beekeeping would be a terrific family adventure and allow us to create unique life experiences for our children. We have always loved the outdoors, and our boys thrive with hands-on learning activities. We decided to do our part to help Mother Nature while offering our garden additional pollination support. After months and months of research, we got our first nuc of bees. We have been all in since.
We enjoy sharing our beekeeping experience, honey, and beeswax products with our community and encourage others to keep bees. Over the years, we’ve helped several get started. Beekeeping with friends. Beekeeping with parents. Beekeeping with kids. Life feels a little sweeter.
Beekeeping has taught our children so many life skills already. They have gained a better understanding of nature and learned to appreciate the value of hard work. The boys have assisted with our “Beekeeping for Kids” Education School Program and, in turn, have become more comfortable in the public speaking arena. Their favorite parts of beekeeping are swarm catches, honey harvests, school presentations, and our Open Honey House. There is so much opportunity ahead to grow, learn, share, and make an impact.
Thanks for being a part of our story…
