Homemade Marinara Sauce with Honey
This Homemade Marinara Recipe is sweetened with a bit of raw honey!
Homemade Marinara
•3.5 lbs fresh Roma tomatoes from your garden, diced
•4 sweet lunchbox peppers from the garden, chopped
•1/3 cup sweet onion, chopped
•1/4 cup olive oil
•1 tbsp minced garlic
•1/2 tsp salt
•1/3 tsp pepper
•Fresh Basil or 2 tsp dried basil
•Fresh Parsley or 2 tsp dried parsley
•1 tsp dried Oregano
•1 tbsp HONEY
Heat olive oil in a saucepan and sauté onion and garlic until translucent. Add tomatoes, peppers, salt, and pepper, and cook on medium-high heat for about 20 minutes or until tomatoes have softened and become saucy. Add herbs and honey. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Enjoy!
